Xspect Solutions and Ceramics Process Systems Corp.(CPS) donate a Brown & Sharpe MicroVal CMM to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, College of Engineering

Brown & Sharpe CMM.Xspect Solutions donated the probe head and touch trigger while Ceramics Process Systems provided the CMM.

Charles Nickles of the University of Massachussetts, Dartmouth College of Engineering will train students in using the CMM. Mr. Nickles was previously employed at Brown & Sharpe and is familiar with the programming and operation of this equipment.

The CMM is expected to introduce U. Mass students to metrology, motion control, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), as well as reinforce geometry and trigonometry skills and knowledge.
