Charles Nickles of the University of Massachussetts, Dartmouth College of Engineering will train students in using the CMM. Mr. Nickles was previously employed at Brown & Sharpe and is familiar with the programming and operation of this equipment. The CMM is expected to introduce U. Mass students to metrology, motion control, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), as well as reinforce geometry and trigonometry skills and knowledge.
