The all new X-Cite revolutionary CMM from Xspect Solutions. A manual CMM designed to be upgraded to full DCC at a future time for under $15,000.00.

The X-Cite manual CMM (click for PDF file) is an all air bearing machine manufactured from aerospace alloys and optimized through finite element analysis to be both a manual and DCC machine. Uniquely th X-Cite can be upgraded to full DCC in the field thereby allowing your CMM investment to phased over two budget periods. The X-Cite comes standard with 1 micron Renishaw scale offering a no compromise solutions.

Incorporating the very latest in machine base technology the granite and honeycomb alloy structure offers stability while providing natural vibration damping. A granite Y beam allows for preloading of air bearings in both directions allowing for improved accuracy.

X-Cite can be installed through a standard doorway and has a compact footprint. PC and printer are located within the machine base while the keyboard is housed on a slide-out drawer. A standard flat screen monitor is mouted on the rear of the granite plate completing the superb X-Cite CMM ergonomics.

With 2 machine sizes available the X-Cite offers class leading price performance ratio.

A manual CMM that has ambition to be DCC.
As a manual unit X-Cite has individual locks and fine adjustment for each axis as standard; its hand wheels offer tension control allowing adjustable machine fidelity to suit metrology application and operator feel. Fine adjustment is provided through the pre-installed DCC drives; DCC upgradeability is thereby easily achieved and remarkably does not increase machine footprint.

Competitors manual CMMS have no upgrade path to full DCC.

X-Cite comes standard with the benchmark Renishaw TPES touch probe; the full range of Renishaw manual indexing heads are also available for the more complex metrology tasks their varying weights accommodated by the adjustable pneumatic counterbalance.

Fully automated DCC CMM.
X-Cite DCC units are supplied with 32 bit architecture controller mounted into the machine base and can be equipped with the Renishaw manual or motorized indexing probe heads and the full range of touch probes and styli changers. Manual X-Cite machines are upgradeable in a short few hours at its installed location to full DCC allowing the X-Cite to grow as your part inspection demands change.

A Full function CAD Software with no options.
X-Cite comes complete with the industry benchmark OpenDMIS measuring software offering full CAD capabilities as standard and incorporating the unique Qwick Measure feature allowing complete hands-free inspection from the PC making X-Cite the most productive manual CMM ever. The full reverse engineering functionality you to measure and scan features exporting the resulting data in IGES format.

Qwick Measure utilizes the software’s intellect to determine the feature type under measurement and allows for rapid part inspection without the traditional tedious need to instruct the software what you intend to inspect next. Simply probe the part and leave the rest to OpenDMIS.
