Xspect Solutions, Inc. moves to a larger facility to better serve Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Customers

Quickly expanding remanufactured CMM market required significantly larger facilities with more assembly and training capacity.

Xspects Solutions, Inc. Xsperienced CMM business in the first half of 2004 reach levels that were well above predicted forecasts, requiring significant facility expansion. As a result, on July 12th, 2004 Xspects Solutions moved to a new 24,000 square foot facility in Wixom, Michigan.

Keith Mills, President of Xspect Solutions, Inc. says, "We have been thoroughly amazed at how fast our remanufactured CMM business has grown since our founding just eighteen months ago. In a very short period of time we have become the dominant supplier of pre-owned, what we call "Xsperienced", CMMs in North America. We have sold close to 100 machines in just a year and a half, and based on current projections, expect that trend to continue. Couple that with fact that we are the North American sales and service outlet for the complete range of new Wenzel CMM machines and you discover we have quickly become the No. 3 CMM supplier in North America."

Mills explains, " What we do at Xspect Solutions is to purchase large numbers of used CMMs and remanufacture them to meet the needs of the customer. We can do this for about one-third the cost of a new machine, and give the buyer a machine from any manufacturer, domestic or foreign. The machines are upgraded with OpenDMIS™ software that is the benchmark in CMM usability and CAD integration. Each machine undergoes our extensive 100 point service check and is delivered to its new owner on a full turnkey basis including installation, calibration and software training. In addition, we offer a search and locate service for clients to find a specific CMM requirement using our extensive networking expertise.

"It was obvious," Mills points out, "Our increased level of business activity required a significantly larger CMM assembly capacity as well as expanded training and demonstration facilities. In our new 24,000 square foot facility we have satisfied all those needs…and then some. We now have ample space for our administrative, application engineering, sales and training professionals; a dedicated training center for our OpenDMIS software; and a spacious customer demonstration center for the Wenzel line of new CMMs. We have increased our assembly capability with an 18,000 square foot, fully air-conditioned, remanufacturing factory."

New Xspect Solutions, Inc. 24,000 square foot fully facility houses administrative, application engineering, sales and training professionals; a dedicated training center for OpenDMIS™ software; and a spacious customer demonstration center for the Wenzel line of new CMMs.
